Therapy Intensives
Therapy intensives are structured to give you more concentrated time to work on your treatment goals. Intensives can span between 2-4 hours and can be scheduled for one or multiple days. Longer sessions also allow clients to immerse themselves in therapeutic work without the disruptions that can come with weekly therapy, potentially leading to faster, more efficient results.
Many people are used to a traditional model of therapy in which you attend about an hour-long therapy session weekly or bi-weekly. You may have even heard of extended therapy sessions, where a therapist might offer 75-minute or 90-minute therapy sessions. Therapy Intensives go a step above extended therapy sessions by offering multiple hours of therapy in a given day or short series of days.
When you inquire about an intensive, we will meet online for a short intake to clarify your goals and discuss any past treatment history. My intensives integrate: EMDR, Somatic Experiencing, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Psychodrama and action methods, Interpersonal neurobiology, and Soul Work. I have a doctorate degree in Depth/Jungian Psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute, MA degrees in both counseling and depth psychology, a degree in Natural Therapeutics from the New Mexico School of Natural Therapeutics and am a nationally certified Psychodramatist.
